Do we live in a dog-eat-dog world?

Lesson Activities

Hi, my name is Billy, and today I will be talking about, do you think or do I think that we live in a dog-eat-dog world?

So just to start off, the definition of a dog-eat-dog world is a world in which people will do anything to be famous or to be successful, even if it means hurting other people.

Now, although I will say that the world has shifted with hurting people in a way, I think that people are trying to help each other. However, we still live in such a world.

People will do anything for what we call 60 seconds or 30 seconds of fame. And even if it means revealing something embarrassing about a friend, a family, a boss, a coworker, a past lover, or even a girlfriend or boyfriend at the moment, they will do it. Anything they can do to be on what we call that 30 seconds of fame.

And with that friendship are hurt, relationships and trust are broken. And this for me is still an indication that we live in a dog-eat-dog world.
