How often do I use public transport? Pretty much never these days. I recently moved to New Orleans, as we pronounce it here, New Orleans. New Orleans, Louisiana, and NOLA.

There's very limited public transport in New Orleans. There's a great street car, a tram, as I would call it. But I'm more of a walker. I love walking. If something's close enough, I'll walk there. And having recently had a baby and things being quite far away in New Orleans, we had to buy a car. I haven't driven a car since I was in Japan about 10 years ago. But a car is kind of essential here.

When I'm in other cities, I do like to walk, or get public transportation. I love trains and long distance buses, but unfortunately reality nowadays means that in a big city like New Orleans, I need to drive a car. So I do.
