Hi, my name is Eulices, and I'm from Costa Rica. My question is, what animals are iconic in your country?

Costa Rica has two very iconic animals. One of them is a very small green frog with red eyes and red hands and legs. And it's used in a lot of propaganda for the country because it kind of represents the variety in wildlife that exists here. But also, we have an unofficial animal that has become very popular and that's the sloth. There are many sloths in this country, and it became a symbol for the soccer team in one of the World Cups because it kept on winning even though nobody expected it to.

So the sloth became also a kind of a symbol for Costa Rica. Those are the most popular animals represented in the media for Costa Rica.
