I love peacocks. I own five of them, although technically they're actually called peafowl. It's just the male peacocks that are peacocks, the girls are all called hens. You can tell a male from a female because the male has got a blue neck and a female has a green neck. They make a noise when it's the breeding season and have a variety of different cries and calls they make. I love the sound, but some people don't and they say it sounds like a cat screeching. They lay seven eggs at a time, although I usually remove them because otherwise the fox comes calling when they've got babies and I don't want them to end up being killed.
